Tiers

How tall would you want your wedding, or anniversary cake to be? Well I know for sure that I would not want my cake to be only one tier. That is why when I get my wedding cake I am going to make it tall so it is will be a 4 tier cake. Sometimes bakers make seven tier cakes and then they will add diamonds that are edible, fondant to make the tiers different colors, or they add some funky designs to each individual layer. I like watching bakers on TV when they are making a cake with like 5 different layers because to me it would be complicated, but when they are on TV they make it look as easy as pie. I think that it would be cool to go in and get to help someone on the show “The Next Great Baker”, because they are really good at what they do and I think that if I got the opportunity to go in and help one of them it would be a really good life experience. Today I have shared with you why I would want to go on the show “The Next Great Baker”, also why I think that the different tiers on the cake make the it really stand out, and what bakers do to decorate the different Tier.

How to add fondant to a cake

Do you know what I enjoy to see bakers use. They use it either to cover up some mess ups, or just to add some color to a cake. If you guessed fondant then you are correct. I like to see bakers use fondant because it makes the cake look like it came to life. If you just used a cake mix or frosting then it would end up drooping and the frosting would fall off because it is not plastered on there. Some of the really cool designs that I really enjoy are when the make a car and then covered it in fondant so they could make it into a race car. Or there in one when they were making a cake for a little girl so the made a figure of the girl out of cake. Then covered the hair in yellow fondant and covered the rest in the same color as her clothes were so it looked just like her. Fondant can make some really crazy and funky looking figures but they can make the coolest things to make a birthday party the most remember able thing in the world. So next time you go to order a cake maybe try a new design and get a cake covered with fondant I am sure you will enjoy.
