Favorite Cakes

There are many different kinds of cakes one of my favorite would be my grandma’s coffee cake. Coffee cake was not invented it was evolved in ancient honey cakes to simple French galetts.Moving on another favorite cake would have to be chocolate cake it was invented in 1500 B.C.-400 B.C.When chocolate cake first came to Europe it was just a plain old chocolate cake. Then the Europeans got involved and they made the icing, pudding, and the baked goods to embrace the chocolaty flavor. The next cake that we are going to talk about is cherry cheese cake or another name for it is cheery creamed pie. Cherry cheesecake is made by taking graham crackers for the crust, a package of cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, vanilla extract, lastly cherry pie filling. The last cake that we will be talking about is called a Red Velvet cake. This cake is used for occasisions like Valentine’s Day because of the red in the cake to symbolize love.  There are many ways to use red velvet like when baking a cake or also when you are baking cookies. All these cakes that I have talked to you about today are all a good way to bring the family to the table.
